Wow i haven't uypdated this thing in almost forever

Alright, well her is the run down on what's happened in the last year. So after a few months at Vicious Cycle I left and went back to work at Atomic to work on their XBLA title Breach. Worked on that untill Oct. and then started another project. Breach came out on Jan 26 2011 and I think it was like the 6th most downloaded title on XBLA. But there was a lot of bugs and crap, so the game didn't do as well as most people hoped. Then a few days later the big wigs decided to shut us down and everyone was laid off. Lucky for me the company knew about this for some time now I was able to find a new job with Red Storm - Ubisoft as a Lighting Artist :-). more updated to come

Wrench - Hard Surface

Modeled this wrench recently and I really like how its turning out. This is my base high poly mesh. I still want to take it into Zbrush soon and get some dents/dings and scraped paint on it. Should turn out good

Hired!

So I recentlygot picked up by Vicious Cycle Software Inc., in Raleigh, in the beginning of September. They have recently done Eat Lead, Dead Head Fred, and the Ben 10 game. Nice company and I think I'll be able to create some awesome game art here. Thats about it. Later

Just started the texture process of this Colt 45. I have my normals and AO maps done, as well as the base metal. Only started to scratch the surface on this one. More updates to come soon!

Well its been real. Its been fun. But it hasn't been real fun!

I regret to inform you but Atomic Games has cut 86% of its staff due to a lack of funding. I was one of the casualties in the mass lay off. On the bright side, now I'll be able to finish up a grip load of projects that are long over due for some need attention. The next month is going to get pretty busy around here so check back in daily before you miss out on something super sweet!

Wooden Cart

Since I'm getting tired or making 12 tri boxes all day I decided to wip this puppy up over the weekend. Inspired by Josh Powers version (since I couldn't find the original picture). Gonna try and push it past his level of detail in Zbrush and what ever crazy trick i can come up with. But this is what I could get done in a few hours on Saturday.

Yesterday I spent a few minuets and connected all the edges and through a Turbo smooth on, to get my higher res model. I might do a few paint overs to get some ideas on where I want to add details. Comments and/or suggestions are welcome!

Mine, mine, mine

I wanted to work on my normal mapping with 90 degree angles AND creating complex geometry so I found this mine type thing from online and pretty much duplicated the low poly. Gonna mess around with the hard surface high poly when I get time here and there. Oh and 720 tris

First Blog Post

Hey everyone! I decided to create a blog pretty much to keep everyone updated on my 3D work and what I'm up to. Mainly because I have a lot of little project pieces I'm working on and I want to post them for you guys but I don't always get around to finishing them.

Well I hope you like what you see and maybe shot me some feed back on what I post.
